I think the future of music and sound lies not in the individual star system. Instead of buying someone’s album – you buy their instrument. Of course this has been going on within the digital music community for decades. And MIDI in the early 90’s certainly was the very thing that got me involved in computers and virtual reality.
To be able to create a musical instrument using nothing but HTML, CSS and JavaScript maybe some JSON… is pretty mind blowing. And having AI do the heavy lifting (ie “vide coding”) allows for a wide range of exploration in coding and taking the language to its limits.
After a long day (or 3) of vibe-ing I bring you an experiment come to fruition – Stellar Muse. It’s an instrument it’s a jam tool. It’s a music theory tool it generates music and allows. A fine range of controllable parameters with a sleek user interface.
